[PTabbedContent=Student Handbook] [PTab=SITE RULES] Please read through the following rules regarding the use HWOL sites including any social media pages, discord servers, and the likes.
[/PTab] [PTab=FAQ] Below, you will find the most frequently asked questions and their answers. Q1: How do I get sorted into my house? Answer: To get sorted into a house, you must complete the Sorting Ceremony quiz. Once you've completed your quiz, follow the instructions in the sorting ceremony thread. Within 1 minute to 24 hours, you will be sorted into your house. You must be sorted into a house to participate in the majority of HWOL. Q2: Can I change my house if I don't like the one I'm assigned to? Answer: Yes. If you request a house change within the first 24 hours after you've been assigned to a house, you will be resorted in a new house based on your sorting quiz answers. The house with the second highest scoring will be the house you are sorted into. Additionally, if you miss the deadline of 24 hours and would still like to request a house change, you can do so within the first 30 days of your sorting ceremony completion for a fee of 1,500 Galleons. After the first 30 days has passed, you must wait until six months from your sorting ceremony date to request a house change. Again, that will cost a fee of 5,000 Galleons. However, this particular house change request will allow you to request the house you'd like to be in. Q3: How do I get a vault? Answer: If you would like to get a vault assignment, you must first complete your sorting ceremony. Once you've been sorted, head over to Gringotts in Diagon Alley and request a vault in the Vault Assignment thread. Q4: I found a bug or error, how do I report it? Answer: If you think you have found a bug or error on the site, we need you to report it. Simply navigate to the Bug Reports thread in the Support and Feedback forum, and follow the directions for reporting bugs/errors. Q5: How do I signup and take classes at HWOL? Instructions on how to register for classes will be provided in the thread. *NOTE: All HWOL classes are done through Google Classrooms. So, please make sure you read the class registration instructions correctly to ensure successful registration. Q6: How do I move up a year on HWOL? Each year has a pre-determined amount of points required to move up to the next year. The total amount of points will be made known during the class registration period for each grade level. *NOTE: We do not currently offer summer classes. Hogwarts Online is a roleplaying forum set in present time. Students can participate in the site's official roleplays or create their own. Monthly contests and discussions are held consistently. Prizes include galleons, rare items, and house points. Additionally, users can set up a user store where they can sell their graphics/art, etc. for galleons, portfolios where they can showcase their art, photography, writing and more.
Hogwarts classes will be available to students in the 2023-2024 school year this upcoming August. Students will have reading, assignments, quizzes, and tests, just like any other school. Hogwarts Online is a fun, interactive roleplay site. We look forward to meeting you all.
